It's grey. There's no other way to describe it. The sky is grey, the floor is grey and there is no scenery whatsoever. The only object is a wooden staff, almost growing out of the ground, with strange markings on it, surrounded by a pulsing, electric purple sphere; a portal back to the real world. There are only two ways out of The Grey: through the portal or out to Cynosure. Only Daira, the Goddess of Cynosure, knows the way in and out of The Grey and often leads wanderers out instead of letting them be forever lost.
On the other side of the portal, there is a barron patch of land devoid of life. The ground crackes from lack of moisture, even though a forest circles around it. A wooden staff stand in the middle as if it had grown out of the dry dirt. It had the exact same markings engraved on it's surface as the one in The Grey. Surrounding it is a pulsing, electric purple sphere, exactly the same as the one around the staff in The Grey. This is the portal in the real world to get to the lands of Cynosure.
